Man Accused of Favoritism by Daughter for Giving Son a Down Payment on a House, Despite Spending a Fortune On Her Recovery Years Earlier
Welcome, gossipy goddesses. Most parents make an effort to make sure that they treat their children equally. For Christmas and other gift-giving celebrations, parents might try to buy their multiple children the same gifts, gifts of equal value, or the same number of presents. It would probably cause a scandal if one child received a Play Station 5 and the other received a couple of Nancy Drew books. But what if the child that received the books wasn't even remotely interested in video games and specifically asked for those books and was completely satisfied with the gift? Well, that is because sometimes fair isn't equal.
In our story today, the father of two adult children is dealing with a difficult situation regarding fairness and equality. When his son reaches out for help on a down payment for a house, our protagonist is quick to come to his aid. His daughter accuses him of favoritism because he didn't help her with her own house. However, she completely disregards the fortune his parents had to pay to put her through rehab years prior. Scroll down for the full story.
